Director
As Director of LUSA Engineering, Sashain Naidoo brings over 14 years of hands-on and strategic experience across the mining, telecommunications, and heavy engineering sectors. His career trajectory - from entry-level roles in quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) to leadership in construction and project management - reflects a deep-rooted commitment to precision, process, and project excellence. Sashain began his career in the QA/QC department, where his meticulous approach and attention to standards quickly set him apart. As he advanced into construction and project management, he developed a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects through disciplined execution, clear communication, and unwavering integrity. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP)®, Sashain has held key roles including QA/QC Lead at Anglo Platinum Mine and Quality Control Manager for major telecommunications infrastructure projects with Telkom and MTN. In these capacities, he was instrumental in designing and enforcing comprehensive quality systems, including advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) coordination, ensuring compliance with international benchmarks and exacting client specifications.

Chief Operations Officer
As Chief Operations Officer, Lucian Pillay brings over two decades of transformative leadership in construction and project management, marked by an exceptional journey from Pipe Fitter to a highly respected Construction Manager. His profound hands-on experience, cultivated since his start at Goss & Balfe in 2001, underpins his mastery of intricate piping and large-scale infrastructure projects across South Africa's most vital sectors. Lucian's distinguished career features the successful orchestration of major capital projects for industry giants, including Astron, Transnet, SAPREF, SAPPI Saiccor, Omnia, Sasol, NATREF, Anglo American and most recently, Eskom. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® and vast experience in structural mechanical, piping and plate work, his operational acumen is uniquely complemented by a strategic embrace of technological advancements. Lucian is also recognised for his capacity to lead high-performing teams, adeptly resolve complex operational challenges, and consistently drive projects to successful completion within the petrochemical, refinery, paper and mining sectors. His career demonstrates a consistent ability to translate intricate project requirements into tangible outcomes, ensuring LUSA Engineering's commitment to delivering superior results and cementing its reputation for operational leadership.
